British fencing clubs

An established BFA-affiliated fencing club meeting weekly with coaching and equipment provided free of charge to members. First two 'taster' lessons are free. The coach is a former member of the Czech national team. Members range from around nine years old to their 70s and the club will support those who wish to participate in competitions. Sessions are held on Mondays and Wednesdays. The venue is ten minutes walk from Debden tube station on the Central Line.

Banbury & District fencing club is based at the Hanwell fields community centre. All specialist fencing equipment is available on club nights and beginners only need wear trainers and track suit bottoms and a tee shirt. Club night incorporates fencing training (group and individual) and competitive fencing. Fencing is fast, furious & Fun so just turn up and join in!

We caters for fencer of all abilities and, tastes. So whether you are a beginner, have just starting doing competitions or are already moving up the national rankings, or just enjoy fencing for a bit of relaxation, we should be able to meet your needs. All three weapons are fenced, and we have a wide range of equipment, including electric, for members to make use of. The club also organises regular social events.

The club caters for all levels & ages of fencers from beginners to British team members; there are always fencers training at sabre. All senior club members get individual lessons every week.

If you're coming down for the first time, wear sensible sports clothing: White-soled trainers (squash or indoor tennis shoes are ideal) and long tracksuit-type bottoms are a must (fencing in shorts is not allowed). The club will supply all of your fencing equipment*, hire of which is included in your entrance fee.

Laszlo's Fencing Club is a non-profit, community club based near the beautiful city of Durham in the North East of England. The club aims to develop fencing under the direction of Prof. Laszlo Jakab, a world class Hungarian coach, whose students have included Olympic, World and National champions. Many of his fencers who train in Durham are members of the Great Britain and Commonwealth teams. The club meets several times each week at a number of venues. If you have fenced before, please feel free to come along and check out the club during a suitable session. If you haven't fenced before, but want to give it a go, the club runs regular beginner's courses. All necessary kit is provided by the club for beginners.
